Updated Resources Available on HPV

The Kaiser Family Foundation has released updated information on HPV, cervical cancer and the newly approved HPV Vaccine on its affiliate Web site, www.kaiserEDU.org.

The human papillomavirus (HPV) can cause cervical cancer and genital warts, and the FDA in June approved a prophylactic vaccine that was found to prevent cervical cancer 100 percent of the time in clinical trials.

The updated Background Brief on www.kaiserEDU.org provides a basic overview about HPV, questions about the implementation of the vaccine, and links to additional information.
