MFHC Services
Program Management
MFHC administers the federal Title X family planning program for Missouri. The MFHC Title X network consists of 20 provider agencies throughout the state, including community action agencies, local public health agencies, federally qualified health centers, Planned Parenthood affiliates, and other nonprofit organizations. These agencies provide high-quality and cost-effective family planning services at nearly 100 clinic locations around Missouri. Fees for Title X family planning services are based on a sliding scale determined by the client’s income level, family size, and ability to pay.
Quality Assurance and Compliance Monitoring
MFHC has a comprehensive program to monitor service quality and compliance with federal Title X guidelines.
Central Purchasing Program
MFHC operates a Central Purchasing Program, which offers family planning supplies at a reduced price to nonprofit and public health agencies.
Training
In partnership with Development Systems, Inc., MFHC provides training and development opportunities on a wide range of topics for reproductive health care professionals, including clinic management, client education, clinical skills, and cultural competency. These training events are often open to non-Title X personnel. For a calendar of events, including upcoming trainings, click here.
Technical Assistance
Missouri Family Health Council offers technical assistance to Title X agencies on a variety of program management issues. Technical assistance is typically arranged as an on-site visit focusing intensively on a specific issue, such as making clinic flow more efficient, improving the management of paper work and data entry, analyzing program costs, or troubleshooting computer programs.
Client Education Material
MFHC has a variety of informational and educational materials for clients and communities, including Spanish-language materials. These materials are available at no or low cost to Title X clinics.
Advocacy and Public Information
MFHC engages in advocacy and public information activities to promote and ensure access to family planning and related preventive health services. For more information about MFHC’s advocacy program, click here.
